10/7/2009 Zermatt and Matterhorn Day

I tried uploading pics and it was extremely slow so I am just going to talk about what we did today and when I get back to Norway with faster internet I will use one post for just pictures of the Switzerland trip.

Today the weather was absolutely perfect, we planned on going to the neighbor village on the other side of the valley but since the weather was so nice we drove up to Tasch then took the train to Zermatt where we climbed another large mountain up to Riffelberg to get a fabulous view of Matterhorn which is shown with the pic with me by the Swiss cow.. (more pictures to come when I get back to Norway) On the south face of Matterhorn is Italy, so I was that close to Italy. We still may get to Italy before the trip is over... but more pics to come in the next week.
